Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy

Untamed Tribe LLC

Effective Date: February 8, 2026

This policy governs all bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds, and credits for Untamed Tribe LLC expeditions, courses, and activities.


1. Reservations & Payment

  • Reservations are confirmed only after completing the booking process and receiving confirmation.
  • Trips booked more than 90 days prior to departure require a 20% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
  • Trips booked within 90 days of departure require full payment at the time of booking.
  • All trips must be paid in full no later than 90 days prior to departure.

2. Standard Cancellation & Refund Policy (U.S. / Domestic Trips)

Untamed Tribe incurs non-recoverable costs in advance (permits, guide commitments, logistics, insurance, and equipment). The following terms apply regardless of reason for cancellation.

  • More than 90 days prior to departure
    • Payments made beyond the 20% deposit will be refunded
    • The deposit remains non-refundable
  • 60–89 days prior to departure
    • 50% refund of the total trip cost
  • Fewer than 60 days prior to departure
    • No refunds or credits

Refunds, when applicable, are issued according to payment processor timelines.


3. International Expeditions (Including Peru)

International trips require advance commitments with third-party providers and authorities that are not recoverable.

  • All payments for international expeditions become non-refundable no later than 90 days prior to departure
  • This applies regardless of reason, including illness, injury, travel disruptions, political conditions, or personal circumstances
  • Participants are responsible for passport validity, visas, customs requirements, and international travel compliance

4. No Refunds for Interruptions or Early Departure

No refunds or credits will be issued for:

  • Late arrival or missed departure
  • Early departure for any reason
  • Inability to participate due to fitness, skill level, or medical issues
  • Weather, environmental conditions, or acts of nature
  • Itinerary changes or trip interruptions made for safety, logistical, or operational reasons
  • Decisions made by guides in the interest of participant safety

5. Trip Insurance (Required)

All participants are required to obtain independent trip insurance.

Trip insurance is the sole mechanism by which participants may recover costs associated with:

  • Cancellations outside the refund windows
  • Medical emergencies or illness
  • Travel delays or missed connections
  • Weather or force majeure events
  • Trip interruption or evacuation

Untamed Tribe does not provide exceptions, credits, or discretionary refunds in lieu of insurance coverage.


6. Policy Acceptance & Enforcement

  • This policy is presented prior to payment
  • Agreement is required during checkout
  • The policy is incorporated by reference into:
    • Terms & Conditions
    • Waiver & Assumption of Risk

By completing a booking, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
