Untamed Tribe LLC

This Code of Conduct outlines the behavioral expectations for all participants in Untamed Tribe LLC expeditions, courses, and activities. Its purpose is to protect the safety, dignity, and experience of participants, guides, staff, and local communities.
Participation in Untamed Tribe activities is conditional upon compliance with this Code of Conduct.
1. General Expectations
All participants are expected to:
- Act responsibly and with consideration for others
- Follow guide instructions and safety protocols at all times
- Communicate honestly about concerns, limitations, or issues
- Contribute to a cooperative, respectful group environment
Untamed Tribe activities rely on mutual trust, clear communication, and shared responsibility.
2. Respect Toward People
Participants must treat guides, staff, fellow participants, and members of local communities with respect.
The following behaviors are not tolerated:
- Harassment, intimidation, threats, or abuse (verbal, physical, or sexual)
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age
- Unwanted physical contact or advances
- Aggressive, disruptive, or reckless behavior
3. Substance Use
For safety reasons:
- Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at all times
- Alcohol use, if permitted, must be moderate and responsible and may be restricted or prohibited entirely on certain trips
- Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or substances during activities where alertness and judgment are required
Guides have sole discretion to restrict or prohibit substance use based on safety, location, or local laws.
4. Safety & Compliance
Participants must:
- Follow all guide instructions, route decisions, and safety directives
- Use required safety equipment as instructed
- Respect environmental hazards, weather conditions, and wildlife
Failure to comply with safety instructions places the participant and group at risk and is grounds for removal.
5. Environmental Stewardship
Participants are expected to practice Leave No Trace principles, including:
- Proper waste disposal
- Minimizing environmental impact
- Respecting wildlife and natural features
Intentional environmental damage or disregard for conservation practices is not permitted.
6. Local Laws & Cultural Respect
Participants must comply with:
- Local, state, federal, and international laws
- Cultural norms and customs of host communities
Illegal activity or culturally disrespectful behavior may result in immediate removal.
7. Technology & Media Use
Participants may use phones, cameras, or recording devices responsibly.
Participants must:
- Respect the privacy of others
- Obtain consent before recording individuals in sensitive situations
- Comply with any trip-specific media restrictions
8. Consequences of Violations
Untamed Tribe reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
- Issue warnings
- Modify participation
- Remove a participant from an activity
Removal may occur at any time, without refund, if a participant’s behavior:
- Endangers themselves or others
- Disrupts the group
- Violates this Code of Conduct
Participants are responsible for any costs associated with early departure or removal.
9. Reporting Concerns
Participants are encouraged to report concerns, safety issues, or conduct violations to a guide or staff member as soon as reasonably possible.
Untamed Tribe will handle reports discreetly and appropriately.
10. Relationship to Other Policies
This Code of Conduct is incorporated by reference into:

- Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy
- Minimum Fitness & Experience Requirements
- Medical & Emergency Response Policy
In the event of a conflict, the Waiver & Assumption of Risk and Booking, Payment & Cancellation Policy control.
11. Acknowledgment
By booking or participating in an Untamed Tribe activity, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Code of Conduct.
